5 Steps to Planning a Trip to a Theme Park

Whether it’s Disneyland or Cedar Point, you need to know what steps to take to get there.

No one wants to go to an amusement alone, so, invite your group and get to planning the perfect bus or motorcoach trip to one of the many theme parks in the US and Canada.

Who’s Going?

Decide how many people you want to invite and what dates would be best for everyone going. Then be sure to request off work enough time in advance. If you and your group are not into crowds and long lines, be sure to do some research for when the amusement park has the least and most visitors.

You need to be sure to know how many will be in your group so you know how many seats you will need on the bus or motorcoach.

What will we do together

Once you know when you plan to go, it’s important to get an idea of what everyone wants to do once the group gets there. At first, you can make a general list if what everyone wants to do then narrow it down to what you all would have the time and budget to actually do.

Once the list is finalized, start making calls to be sure you are fully prepared to get in. Some parts of the amusement park cost extra money to get into, or you may need to buy your tickets in advance.

Where will we stay?

Once you know where you are going and what you are doing, you have to find somewhere to stay. Most amusement parks have hotels or lodges within the park where you can stay. You will want to know what their vacancy is for when your group is planning to go and if there are any others that may take up a ton of their available space.

Do some research and price out all the nearby hotels to find the one with the best price. Don’t forget to factor in getting to and from the amusement park on the bus or motorcoach. Sometimes it makes more sense to pay a little more and be closer in proximity to the park.

Where will we eat?

Now that you know what you are doing and where you will stay it’s time to plan out what you’re going to eat. Do some research and figure out what options and what prices the amusement park has for food. Then decide if you will need to pack or if you will buy all the meals.

Figure out how many meals you need to prepare and make reservations for the restaurants where you would like to eat.

Pack!

The final step is to pack. Look at the weather and pack accordingly, but not too early- the weather might change! Be sure to have an outfit you would be comfortable walking in all day, or you will be miserable the whole time you’re at the amusement park. Once you’re packed, you’re all set to go!

Now that you know what it takes to plan a trip to an amusement park, you can start planning your charter bus travel to get there.
