I booked Sunway Charters months in advance before my wedding date. I had ALL my guests coming from out of town, and relied heavily on this company. I made this very known to Marsha Cox, who was the contact person throughout the process. I e-mailed Marsha several times as timelines changed slightly. She seldom responded. I called her a few times as well. She assured me that she made note of my itinerary for the driver, and that the driver was reliable.
When I signed the contract, Marsha promised me the payment would not be acquired until the day of service, which was something that I really valued. I have heard of nightmares were the driver does not show up, and payment is never refunded. Several days before the wedding, I realized Marsha had charged my account for the transportation service. I called her, very disturbed, as it was in writing she would not do this. She assured me it would be fine, and the driver was reliable and to not be concerned.
Now we reach the day of. First of all, the driver called me, the bride, 30 minutes before pick up time. I had made it known I was NOT the contact person that day because I would not be having my phone. The reason he called is because he was unsure of the address to go to. I was FURIOUS. After all that preparation and writing, they were clearly unprepared. That was the first red flag.
But my mother in law took care of it, and my guests made it to the church on time. The next problem, however, was that he brought my guests 40 minutes late to the cocktail hour. They did not get any of the food I paid for that hour. And he did not notify anyone that he was running late.
I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism of this service. I don't recommend anyone counts on them to be reliable, prompt, or trustworthy.
